3 DAYS OF FANTASTIC 356 ACTIVITIES WITH GREAT FRIENDS
SUMMARY OF EVENTS
FRIDAY MORNING – We head out to ”Lane 88 Museum” in Wantirna South to see their display of historic road and race cars. Entry to the centre is by way of a $10.00 per head donation payable with your Parade entry form. Later we enjoy a pleasant lunch at The Club Hotel at 848 Burwood Hwy 3156 Ferntree Gully, (at your own expense).
FRIDAY EVENING - We look forward to meeting you all in the function room at the rear of “Buccatini Restaurant”, 454 Whitehorse Road Mitcham (near c/r Rooks Road) for a social get together dinner and the Annual General Meeting.
SATURDAY MORNING - Meet at Como Park North for our annual 356 display. The display of cars and judging to be conducted. An individual boxed lunch will be available. We are hoping for fine weather, but as always, it will be fun. Tables and chairs under a marquee will be available for use.
SATURDAY EVENING – Meet at Porsche Centre Doncaster, 839 Doncaster Road Doncaster 3108, at 6.30 for 7.00pm. Pre-dinner drinks and canapés on arrival followed by a 3-course dinner. Presentation to award winners will be held and the usual raffle will take place.
SUNDAY MORNING - Meet at Lorbeck Luxury Cars, Plummer Avenue Port Melbourne at 10:00 am for 10:30 am departure. Travel through the western parts of Melbourne and onto Myrniong for a Pizza lunch and live music at “St Anne’s Vineyard” prior to farewelling all participants to return home or continue their adventures in Victoria.

Members, who in past years have stayed at the Bayview Hotel in Queens Road Melbourne, will be disappointed to learn the hotel has closed permanently.
For those interstate/international members planning on attending the Parade, arrangements for discounted accommodation have been made with: -

FRIDAY MORNING
DRIVE TO Lane 88 Museum
ASSEMBLY TIME: 10:45 am at the centre – make your own way
LOCATION: Lane 88 Auto Museum, 88 Lewis Road Wantirna South 3152.
Parking is available at the rear of the museum. Entrance off Lewis Road
Lane 88 Auto Museum is a small private collection of vehicles owned by the late John “JD” Dymond and his wife Margaret. The collection has been accumulated over many years and was inspired by JD’s own mechanical interest, and his love of classic cars and historic motor racing.
JD and Margaret bought many cars over the years, but always had a soft spot for Vauxhalls and European touring cars. As such, the collection features cars from Mercedes Benz, BMW, Bugatti, and Riley, alongside several historic racing cars. In addition, the museum is lucky to have several short-term loan vehicles to compliment the collection.
COST: A charitable donation cost of $10.00 per head to tour the collection is payable on your registration form.
At the conclusion of the Museum visit, make your way to the Club Hotel a short distance away at 848 Burwood Hwy Ferntree Gully for a “Pub Lunch” at 12.00 noon.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING,
MEET AND GREET SESSION
BUCCATINI RESTAURANT & BAR
TIME: 6:00 pm – 6.30 pm
PLACE: Function Room at rear of Buccatini Restaurant, 454 Whitehorse Road Mitcham 3132. Parking is available on the Whitehorse service Road or at rear of restaurant via lane on LHS of restaurant or off Queen St at the rear.
COST: $45.00 per head for dinner – drinks at your own expense.
“Meet and Greet” will be at Buccatini Function Room 6:00 pm onwards and mingle prior to the AGM. Our Annual General Meeting will commence at 6:45 pm.

SATURDAY MORNING
PARADE DISPLAY AND LUNCH AT COMO PARK
TIME: 9:00 - 10:00 am Please note – Gate for vehicle entry will close at 10.00am
PLACE: Como Park North, Williams Road North & Alexandra Avenue South Yarra
An informal get together of Porsche owners and enthusiasts whilst enjoying a light sit down lunch at 12:00 noon in the marquee surrounded by Ferry’s finest. Informal judging of 356s’ to be conducted. The outright winning car of the day will be awarded the “Car of Show Trophy” (courtesy of Shannons) at the Saturday night function.
Don’t feel shy about bringing your unrestored Porsche 356 along. All our members have well used vehicles, which is what they were built for.
Goodie bags available on arrival for those who have paid their booking fee.
REGISTRATION: We can only reserve a “goodie bag” for financial members who forward a copy of their entry form confirming payment by Wednesday 16th November and bring their 356 on the day. The cost per car is $40.00.
LUNCH: A pre-packed lunch is available and must be ordered on your entry form. There will be three variety packs available. “Aussie”, “Vietnamese”, or “Vegan”. If you wish to participate, please indicate your preference on the entry form.

INCLUDES TROPHY PRESENTATION

COST: $120.00 per head including pre-dinner drinks, canapés, plus a 3-course meal and wines.
PARKING: DO NOT PARK ON THE PORSCHE CENTRE FORECOURT AS PARKING IS REQUIRED FOR CATERERS AND OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER VEHICLE. There is ample room in the car park at the rear of Porsche Centre. Enter off Victoria Street
DRESS: 50’s – 60’s Theme Night.
You are invited to attend the 35th Parade Annual Dinner at Porsche Centre Doncaster, 839 Doncaster Road Doncaster 3108.
Pre-dinner drinks and canapés will be served from 6:30 pm and a 3-course dinner commencing at 7:00 pm. Trophy presentation and visual display will be conducted during the evening. Enjoy the club raffle of various items during the evening.
Renew old acquaintances and make new ones while you enjoy the fine cuisine and wines at this fantastic annual event.

COST: Pizza Sunday. All food and drinks at your own expense.
A wonderful adventure covering the north-west of Melbourne then into the wine regions, culminating in a Pizza lunch together with live music at St Annes Winery at Myrniong
For those of you heading home, it is well placed to then head off north or west as it does not require you to re-enter Melbourne.

St Anne’s Vineyard Liqueur Tawny
The club has secured a limited number of ornamental glass Liqueur Tawny decanters complete with embossed club logo. These will be available for purchase for $60.00 at the Parade. You can order one on your registration form or just purchase one at the Registration Tent (no card facility). One would make a magnificent display on your sideboard or coffee table. As there are a limited number of decanters get your order in quickly.

35th AUSTRALIAN PORSCHE 356 REGISTER PARADE JUDGING
All cars entered for judging must be present at Como Park by 10.00am. We hope to complete judging by 2.30pm and trophy presentation to be conducted Saturday night at the Porsche Centre Doncaster.
We do not inspect the underside of cars, but we do judge the engine, passenger, and luggage compartment. In the past, the lack of attention to the engine compartment has often been the difference between cars which have scored well, and those which have not. We also like originality!
As in earlier years, we will again have a Masterclass which includes winners and Gold Awards from the last three years. These cars are not eligible to win the COS Trophy or Gold Awards again during this period.
Entry into this section is automatic and cars/owners can only win a Masterclass section once. The objective is to give everyone a fair chance of winning an award. Once you have won one of the top awards, we feel that others should be given an opportunity.
