  It's a wonderful summer to get out and enjoy your Porsche 356 in the company of friends, so come and join us at Austie Beach Cafe on Sunday 15 February 2026 for brunch.  It's a short drive south of Sydney and the view is magnificent.

  And the weather should be good so bring your swimming togs and enjoy a dip while your at it.

  Porsche 356 Technical Night

  18th February 2026

  Dear Members,

  I would like to invite you to a new series of events that are focussed on the technical and mechanical aspects of our cars. This new series will be held in conjunction with Porsche Classics Melbourne. For the inaugural event we will start with the general maintenance of a Porsche 356. This will include:

  • What is in the toolkit and for what purpose was each tool provided
  • Outside of the service, what are the regular maintenance items you should carry out to ensure your 356 runs well
  • Things to look out for that can cause issues if not attended to
  • Tips, tricks and general troubleshooting
  • Q&A

  The session will be hosted by Peter Bowen who is the chief mechanic at Porsche Classics Melbourne and one of the most experienced Porsche mechanics in Australia. Peter is passionate about cars and will be able to answer any questions members may have. We will conclude the session by gathering attendee suggestions for our next topic.
